failed, use ctrl+c to cancel basic credential prompt.
Was working with other repos just a day or 2 ago
Nothing changes that I'm aware of
When that failed an OpenSSH window pop up to ask for username/pass again then I can finally push
What might be the cause ?
(windows 10, cmder, latest git version)
Latest is not a version number. Looks like your ssh key is not present on the remote
tru altho I updated to latest just 2 days ago :> git version 2.29.2.windows.2 thing is I was able to push to a dozen new repos on the same account the exact same way just 2 days ago 🙃
so I got 3 github accounts on this local machine 2 alts with UseHTTPPath = true, 1 main without main pushed to new repo fine now both alts have the same issue Maybe I should reset the git credential manager's cache somewhere somehow
still no idea why but I fixed it by using a newer credential helper (that was supposed to be chosen by default but didn't, and I didn't see in the docs how to manually configure the correct name)
