Why not just team up?
I'm sorry, I may have expressed myself badly, I absolutely want to team up and contribuite on his code, I'm not sure if some third party coming to make commits on your PR is seen positively
Think about what you would do in real life. Hopefully you'd ask the person if they're fine with getting extra help from you. Certainly don't commit to other people's branches without having talked about it.
