Hey, I want to ask an opinion. There's a repo I'm

following, which lacks a feature I'd need. I wanted to implement it myself with a PR, but someone is already doing that.
I'd want to help: the sooner this feature gets done, the better! I'm kinda stuck developing until it's done.
I could help, making PRs on the PR itself, hopefully helping and making this feature development faster.
Would this be a dick move? Should I just be patient and leave this guy work?

I'm sorry, I may have expressed myself badly, I absolutely want to team up and contribuite on his code, I'm not sure if some third party coming to make commits on your PR is seen positively

Think about what you would do in real life. Hopefully you'd ask the person if they're fine with getting extra help from you. Certainly don't commit to other people's branches without having talked about it.
