The ARM macbooks are incredibly power efficient

even the ones before were though, I don't know what mac os is doing but my macbook pro 13'' from 2016 had still incredible battery life after 5 years of daily usage

also doing things right that never worked with any other brand except apple like being able to charge it up with a 5V usb phone battery pack afaik that's limited by the CPU itself, my current laptop requires at least 20V over usb pd to be able to charge so either I had a lucky CPU model or apple is doing some really nice magic sometimes
