my RTSP cameras on a TV 24/7, there will be a total of 16 cameras at max, should I get Rpi 4 or should I wait for Rpi 5? I plan on doing some object detection later
i would personally suggest pi 5, although you may get the job done in 4, it might not be the best for this project however probably pi 5 won't come anytime soon
oh damn, why do you say it won't be the best?
What about Orange Pi?
Object detection on 16 streams? I have a feeling a raspberry pi won't cut it performance wise.
Is there any better board than rpi?
Never heard of it, will check out
there are many better boards than rpi performance-wise. The difference will be in the price though
Can you just some please?
just search for "single board computer" But why even restrict yourself to SBCs only? Why not just get a second-hand Xeon based server for example?
i meant available
I got the case too, do I need the active cooler too?
monitor temp without it first
so jealious.
I could send you one. ive two cooler left. ^^
hehe, I am trying without cooler first, I don't think I will need an active cooler for my usecase
You could put an heatsink at least
yeah the official case has that
May I send it to you, when you're ready to overclock the processor?
I won't overclock my rpi with the stock case
Why you got for this Pi a case?
To cool it
You could save yourself a case if you get hardware that is cooler, it is easier to transport, but also takes up more space.
Are you interested in 3D printing?
What exactly are you talking about?
I just don't like the case from the raspberry pi. Thats all.
Need an active cooler otherwise it throttles
It's fine, you can. The cooler is good enough.
