an interview,
A company asked you to learn a dying tech (Ex:Angular ) (Don't bash on me for taking it as example )
What would you do?
That highly depends on the tech and the sector you are applying for.
The company _needs_ to maintain their codebase, so the market is going to fill this need anyway. What other pros come with this decision?
If they pay appropriately.
Well, my opinion is something different, One of my friend the same thing, his company asked requirement of .NET framework for the job, so he learned it and got the job, but when there is alot better option now, the company asked him, either upgrade to NODE.JS or look for any other job. So i think, company care about only their need. If you don't want such trouble in future, then you shouldn't go for a dying tech. That's my perspective, after all it's your choice.
