C++ usually doesn't care about the purity or impurity. The whole system is almost impure, you have to deal with void* in a lot of libs, apis and p/invokes like when you are dealing with POSIX api. How good can it make your code when you do not overload your operator?
I mean, it is not a good advice to tell someone not to touch a dirty stone, when he is exactly in the middle of the largest trash bin of the city and he is floating in the garbages.
