Hello guys. I already googled this but I didn't get

a satisfactory answer. As a front end developer is it compulsory I learn a design tool like Adobe XD or Figma?

It's rare that you would be required to by a serious company hiring you, however, it's great to know your way around. Although I'm not required to do design work at all on my job, I sometimes prefer doing things on my own when applicable without having to wait for a designer.

Not necessarily You just need to know how to extract assets from the design you’re working on (regardless of the platform) which takes less than 15 minutes of playing around with the platform or whatsoever
