Is there a reason for Blockchains not to be EVM compatible.

From my perspective it has a lot of benefits. So what is the negative side of it?

Daniel, you've been at this topic for a while now. Just please accept that 1) Near is not an Ethereum L2. 2) If anyone wants to build on a EVM compatible chain, while taking advantage of Near's scaling and low fees, they can do so on Aurora. That's the very reason why that came to be.
