roadmap published last year it was supposed to have entered the final stage of development by now. Since then it has been postponed, hoping to find information on current status. Imo it's the most important differentiator that near has with other L1s
I think it better to just kick it down the line , create more fomo for the coming crypto bull market
id love to know about this also, i want to start a validator but looking for that seat price reduction
Latest (October 19) Pagoda roadmap: https://near.org/blog/check-out-the-pagoda-product-roadmap
ive looked over this, there is 0 mention of sharding or nightshade anywhere on the github
Nothing here about nightshade
There is a reason for that - however, we can't talk about it just yet. But it likely won't be perceived as a negative news (though one can never know for sure with people :) ). A date hasn't been set for the announcement about it, but could happen before the end of the year.
Okay. It's concerning that improvements that NEAR committed to in its 2022 roadmap have now been omitted from its year-later roadmap entirely, points to lack of direction and transparency
I can't say more about it, but the picture is different from how you painted it. Just hang around, I'm pretty sure that the announcement (when it arrives) will address your concerns.
I guess all we can say is that Sharding is Near, but not Here 😉, yet
That’s not true. Sharding is live on NEAR. Protocol improvements are ongoing and are part of the roadmap shared by Pagoda
To be precise, sharding Phase 1 has been delivered a while ago. Phase 2 and 3 will be deployed, eventually.
Give this a look: 🙂 https://x.com/ilblackdragon/status/1724135876840640838?s=46
Thanks for the update. Quite the delay, NEAR will be finishing phase 2 of Nightshade sharding 4 months after when they said they'd be beginning phase 4
Yes, I got it. That's the recent update we have now.
