airdrop ?
No they are not. Rule of thumb is if they do not specifically announce support for an air drop they will not support. Coins are deployed to generate yield, so unless celsius recalls loans it’s very difficult to support airdrops.
That’s not entirely true. As they supported the Flare airdrop
And this cause lots of pain and suffering for there since they support it till now because of flare. Celsius won't support other airdrop because of flare to song bird incident and their custodian will be the main reason to reject airdrop
I guess they won’t support airdrops going forward. It does not make sense. They would have to retrieve all our coins that they lend out whenever a snapshot is taken, and then lend them back out again. Then when an airdrop is received, make sure will all get the right amount. It does not make sense really. Celsius needs to lend coins out so we earn yield. If we want an airdrop, we should withdraw, and hold in a private wallet that we control for the snapshot period. And take responsibility ourselves. Just my thoughts of course.
I hope they do, gutted otherwise. They decided on supporting flare they should continue. I'm very concerned about the DLFR drop couple of weeks after Flare goes live. Because when the you get the DFLR you only have couple of weeks to convert to YFLR. Will make the SGB fiasco look like short change in my opinion.
Don’t think they have to retrieve them as they have the data and control the coins.
I’m talking about future, non related airdrops.
My bad read it wrong. Agreed they shouldn't with others if stated. But they should with Flare, and SGB and YFLR/DFLR
I’m sure they will find a way with SGB. It’s sounds like they are working on it.
It solely depends on their custodian
Yeah I can imagine it is a lot harder than everyone imagines. Also with regulations and trying to make sure they aren’t distributing possible securities.
