Thanks! I have used action-cable and sockets for real time

connectivity to the backend. But, How do you manage the time it can take to process and serialise a response, if you are gathering data from other micro services? Obviously, from what I know, This model just cannot beat a “single database” performance.

You treat it in Front, it will be loaded until it receives notification of released or executed, etc. About the database, if you don't have this scenario you don't need to worry about N database, 1 database will serve you and if you need to scale you scale the database if you need to use other databases a noSql for example you use and so it goes.. This scenario is possible too. Don't pile on concepts, focus on the PROBLEM.
