me if i ask a dumb question). Just wondering if borrowing to buy more crypto is commonly done and if so how (given that only stable coin and usd is what one can borrow). Is that where swaps come into play (eg borrow usdc then swap to btc)?? Cheers community!
It's against terms of use to use funds received via loan to swap for more crypto within the Celsius app. Anything you do with those funds outside of Celsius (external exchange, etc) is up to you
Question to you: perhaps have a link with the full terms of Swap service? I was looking for them but only read fully when accepting them in-app. Now I can’t find them back 😅 (Swap specific terms, not the general terms of use obv)
Thanks. Strange this is impossible to find. I’ll ask support!
Why is it not allowed? Isnt it normally the case for people to borrow against crypto to buy more crypto? Borrower can still withdraw to external exchange or wallet, do the swap/trade then deposit in. So why is in app swap feature not allowed? Is it to protect against loophole or swap abuse?
My guess is as good as yours. I assume you have to ask Alex or someone high at Celsius to get an answer on exact reasons. It’s just not allowed in their terms of service.
I actually has not been following celsius, so missing all the news and update. I only check in celsius tg because of cel token dump to find out if celsius is having issues as company, but seems like company is still solid, cel token dump caused by speculators.
