Celsius….what was your FLR solution?
Not sure I've ever heard of Celsius paying out airdrops. A problem is they have to add infrastructure to display those new coins. For FLR, SPARK, and Songbird that's a lot of work. Plus they have to calculate how many to are owed. And there's always the chance your coins were loaned out at the time so you don't get any... At least with XRP they don't pay interest so the late case shouldn't apply. Might be easier for them to offer to deposit off-site to an address you supply or sell and pay as interest. More likely you will get nothing.
Nothing is exactly the case. However in this case they should never have offered support for the XRP/FLR airdrop.
And users should never have trusted a centralized platform to properly handle the airdrops. If you want airdrops just withdraw to your own wallet before the snapshot next time to have full control over which airdrops to claim.
Can you cite an example where airdrops we're paid out? As I mentioned if it is a token that pays interest then it means tokens are being loaned out or staked behind the scenes. Celsius may well not have them at all when airdrop was computed. At best they could offer a partial payout. To me losing airdrops is just a penalty you pay for sending your tokens to a third party for custody and lending out. For many tokens that have frequent airdrops the interest Celsius pays is less than self custody staking plus of course you lose the drops. That's why I'd never put coins like DOT, ATOM, or LUNA on Celsius.
Celsius used to pay interest on XRP, when XRP was subpoenaed by the government. they basically dropped all support for XRP and yield went to zero. FLR airdrop was a fine idea, and celsius did promote it a little, but the flare group didn't get their product out on time. But then created songbird for their testnet as an airdrop.
Also spark is still sitting in everyone account. There is just no network yet for the spark crypto.
Celsius still pays interest for xrp...
*not in the usa.
Not true though. Spark has been working fine, with the biggest frustration being it offers great returns and we are all celsians because we like returns. Celsius were waiting for their custodian to support before they could support. This happened a couple of weeks back so it is now with celsius to get sorted which by all accounts they are working on. Flare flr isn’t live yet but should start in ‘22 i believe and i believe celsius will honour in full your dec ‘20 xrp snapshot amount
Songbird works sgb, not flare network spark
Good point, even i get head fucked by the names sometimes. Lol
Spark has been working fine? It doesn't even exist yet, lol
