If one signs up a new account using my referral

link, does the new signup need to use a promo code of first time transfer to add $400 above to his account in order for both parties to earn $50 in BTC?

They need to enter your referral code during account creation. If they don't do it there then it's no longer possible to add. You can only use 1 first time use code this is either a first code or a referral code but not both. The user can add multiple amounts to hit the total and trigger the code.
