I just tested here helping a friend to sing up,

it's working as normal. Maybe reinstall / update the app? When you click to Sign up and then Email/password the first question is Where do you live and then you have to search or type the country.

Restart your phone, turn off any vpn, allow app location access.

I choose the country before to get to that screen and don't get the same warning ...
