I always wonder why people like to use VS code

and Sublime Text, isn't PyCharm better?

It's slow compared to the others, even on top notch hardware. For a quick script, I'd rather use sublime or any other text editor for that matter.

VSCode is free and open source. And lightweight, and has significant amount of not bad extensions. Sublime? I have no idea actually, VSCode is better in every regard (except performance)
