Absolutely. I was always the first to defend Celsius on almost everything, but this was their shortcoming. You cannot take illiquid positions while giving free liquidity to your depositors. The math does not add up. That + no more paying for gas fees. I never understood why we subsidized people who were pulling funds off. Make them pay for it. The money saved could go to us or the Treasury.

if Celsius was the only one doing it, then they stand to lose nothing if they stopped doing it. because there was no alternative. i really doubt people joined celsius just because of free withdrawals tbh

well they already activated the nuclear option, i doubt withdrawal fees will make it much worse. esp. if they spin it as extra rewards for holders
