Is it because Celsius can use its treasury to increase their liquidity ?

simple. If price keeps moving up and nobody sells and dry out the liquidity, the people that are short, have to repay the CEL tokens borrowed. As there is no much liq and they took millions of tokens, they will have to buy it and remove every level and send the price up, really up

The shortsellers are profiting on shorting the CEL token, those profits are further used to attack Celsius and drive markets to hit Celsius liquidation levels. Meaning your funds are lost.

so the assumption is: Celsius in trouble because of coordinated attackers and you think that: those shorting $CEL now are also causing the downfall of $CEL by deliberately trying to liquidate Celsius’ defi plays I don’t know, it my help some if CEL 🚀, but even then how will Celsius deal with the bank run ?

Outside of a massive short squeez giving celsius the chance to dump cel to fill their treasury (which the lawyers may tell them not to do) I dont think it helps celsius at all BUT what it does do, is if you have a bunch of money on celsius…. If you have a large risk apatite, you can take a gamble at a short squeez and recoup your losses

It won't help with the bank run once they open the gates, but at least they will have the funds to pay. If the shorts succeed, Celsius will reach to the point of liquidation and will lose al its collateral, aka our money. So in that scenario, forget about getting something.
