Just wondering: Can people who are damaged by people defaming

others press libel charges against the ones doing the lying or does the individual defamed party have to be involved?

They can but defaming process on courts are very expensive and well suing small timers are usually not worth it. Not to mention that defamation is always hard to prove.

Yes. However in our case it seems actually quite clear and easy to prove that (for now allegedly) Alex has been defamed; the second item is the causal relationship to damages. That may be more abstract for some people

Don’t know if this was answered but you couldn’t press defamation charges but you could sue them for damages if their actions unlawfully caused you to lose money

Yes hopefully Celsius or others are keeping as much evidence as possible so we can launch a class action lawsuit against the bad actors if Celsius goes bankrupt
