Is there any process involving restructuring that doesn't inevitably lead

to bankruptcy? A legal friend of mine saw the news that they hired a restructuring firm and thought that was extremely ominous

Depends how bad things are. It’s not in receivership so no bankruptcy yet. Odds are they are looking for someone to acquire that would take over the liabilities. But if it’s a mess, no one will. Just like toys r us. It was a good business but too much debt so no one enabled to acquire it

Can be ominous. Not 100% always. About 75% I guess...

Ok so I think 75% chance of bad news with 25% optimism is about where I am hopium-wise, so that fits. Ty
