I sent this question to a competitor in the space.

It’s relevant to Celsius as well; at least food for thought:

“Concerning the current state of CeFi, we have realized that there should be some kinds of risk measurement devices included in the contracts that are offered in these different products. These devices would be mathematical models that would make the opaqueness of the products less so.

For example: I want to stash my assets in a strategy which produces ‘yield’. But I’m not exactly aware of the protocols and contract-situations that define the actual risk I’m taking.

The question is, is [Celsius] planning on solving some of these issues, thereby making its products attractive to users in the future?”

I believe these kinds of issues have to get solved somehow for there to be trust in the lending/borrowing space

Celsius said they were looking to add staking, would staking not partially solve this? For example if staked coins are kept separate and those that stake would be secured creditors instead of unsecured? I think staking would be saver than yield earning by lending things out. This way our dot, matic, solana,cardano etc would be safe? Then they could add additional coins for staking, like ksm, egld and others?

Staking also should have helped to counter the bank run and the need to freeze withdrawals. That would have put it before, instead of leaving all flexible, along with free withdrawals free swaps and so on (stupid people don’t appreciate free stuff and Celsius would have less expenses)

I forgot to add my staking question/idea to the form a d would like to add it. So far all the questions and suggestions we have in here that I saw were covered in the questions already submitted, except this one

Thanks, yes, this is the one. I would encourage everyone to look through the questions already there to get an idea of what is possible. Then also add ideas/questions that are not already on there. If a question similar to your question is already there ‘like’ the question and it may move up in rank. There are two ‘tabs’ the second one where you will find most recent questions.
