late for a Blockchain solution like Bitfinex"? I mean, what changed for Celsius? They closed shop and now in a static state?
Loss of trust. Reputational damage
Yeah, that was Simon's interpretation. I take a slightly different view. The Brand could come back even stronger. The recent events have drawn a lot of eyes and significantly raised the awareness of Celsius. This could be leveraged to produce an amazing recovery story, and illustrates how strong the Celsius community is. We should wear our battle scars with pride. Raising from the ashes (and in better shape with improved processes etc.) shows we can survive anything. That's just my personal opinion.
or company may merge and goes under the another brand.
Anything is possible, but I feel people are quick to discount the value of the brand. I agree sentiment is (very) low at the moment but Celsius has received huge exposure that is incredibly valuable. In 2-5-10 years from now people will still remember the Celsius brand, and if it recovers it will be a great story that everyone will know. People love a good under-dog comeback. This could be Celsius!
Yep mine too. As I've said before, a month ago everyone was like Ima call my kid Alex and get a CEL face tatt. Now it's hang em all... People need to own their descisions and man up a bit
...and if anyone can successfully lead this recovery, it's Alex M and his team.
I admire your confidence but they lost mine when they tried to bluff their way out of a bank run. In hindsight that was way more risky than just limiting withdrawals when they saw a spike
Alex is not getting a lot of love at the moment, and that's understandable, but now is his opportunity to show the community (and outside world) that he can be a truly great leader! He does need to change a few things (eg. bad mouthing the competition, over-hyping announcements, increase transparency with the community (including about the number of CEL tokens he is selling etc.)) but he has the intellect and ability to raise Celsius from the ashes and make it a success. We backed him the first time and, with a bit of structure and guidance, I believe he can do it again.
A good way of looking at it Rob, I agree… I have a different opinion with regards to Simon than most but I agree if the business can get through this it has the potential to have a positive affect. I just hope it does!
Agree with this also, talk sense mate… with logic 👍🏻
I don't know him well enough to make any assertions but I get the impression he has a big ego. Would love to see him do something like you suggest but I find it hard to imagine
I've said something like this a week ago just not as well worded. Thank you.
Yep, I saw your earlier posts. It's good to have fellow community members thinking about this in a rational and logical manner. Together we are stronger! #DepositorsFirst
