How to contribute to open source projects in devops space????

Is it only possible if we learn backend Lang like golang in devops? Because majority of tools uses go and issues are majority of go by writing backend code??? Is that sensible to contribute to increase experience in devops???

First, understand that contributing to open source is not as easy as many believe it is. You might want to open pull requests and think people will like it - this isn't always the case. Reviewing PRs is a lot of work. Getting PRs ready for merge is even more work for the core maintainer. And the fact that your new to Go will most likely mean your code won't be accepted. Your "contribution" could just be putting extra work on the core maintainers shoulders. Please be aware of that.

Then why many influencers are on a row says that open source gives immense networking and what's other way than opensource????
