is there a method to search only in a specific folder, instead of using SearchGlobal with folder_id=1 ? It seems values except 0 or 1 does not work for the SearchGlobal request.

folder_id isn't related to "filters" in Telegram, it's for Peer Folders, archived/usual chats, archived being 1

Telegram implementation is mostly minimal, it would need a server support for it. filters (folders) are just local masks for all of the dialogs currently, not much special methods for them

This is the only way. think of the server an old hag that just doesn't want go bankrupt but be as useful as possible, it won't filter your chats for you on each new chat join. you'll pay for heavy requests by using them reasonably and in multiple places, and handle updates well, singleton of dialog stores is better than multiple filters that trigger updates on change.
