You can thank microsoft for that. If only microsoft cared more about giving tools to people for cross platform windows develpoment, you wouldn't have this issue

You can not run win16 on windows nowadays.... But you can from others like Linux (From 64bit OSs) In a couple of decades so will win32?

by win32 i meant win32 api :D, it is called win32api for god knows what reason even if it is for making native apps for 64 bit windows. If it wasn't that then i didn't understand what you meant to say.

Win16 API preceded win32 API. Today you can only run win16 apps on Linux and other POSIX OSs, if the OS is 64 bit. I was suggesting half jokingly that in the future, apps you develop for win32 will also only run on Linux and friends

Windows 64bit, since WinXP (nt5) (or maybe win200x) will refuse to run win16 applications, including some classic games, while wine will happily run them. Remember hover?
