I need help with a work for university. My teacher

gave us a code that is not complete, we need to continue, but we must follow his code. And I have a question with pointers.

I have an struct that have a *char (pointer). And I have a pointer of this struct. I know the length of the array because are supplied in the arguments. I calculate the malloc size of array, and when I need to use the char pointer i calculate his length.

So, my question is, when I do the malloc of the array, it has in mind that the char pointer of every element isnt defined?
