You are speaking truth, but not considering whether it applies

to the current case and how it applies. Yes it doesn't have async features. What consequences does it have? Probably none for general text processing bot, with little or none userbase. The implication is that if there are a lot of users or a lot of heavy duty work, your bot will become slow and unresponsive

if a) you are writing bot that doesn't handle requests of thousands of users every second b) you aren't doing any heavy work, like image processing then you don't really need asynchronous processing, you wouldn't get much performance out of it
