Other possibility that is understood; is that any file that

you download gets corrupt.. whether .exe or .gz??! Is that the case??

Good day, thanks for your reply. No. Gz files are OK when locally tested on my pc. But the exe although also valid, it does not install because the signature part which is a string appended to the exe gets removed while saving the file.
