C++? Because if you ever had to implement what rotate did and spent time doing it, was not just reading the list of algorithms you have and just use them? Also if you cannot tell your boss "i can use that programming language but it will result in terrible code, is that fine?" there is an issue with your workplace
when i was young and i had not enough knowlege about the diffs, the only reason to go for c instead of c++ was that i liked low levels (not that much low) and i forced to use c_str method a lot there so i told myself why not the language that the OS wants in low levels. also i saw c is raw and simple, infinite posibilities on top of simple little building blocks. nowadays i'm under the influence of books like "write great code" that explaining about technical details about c and cpp diffs. so i'm ok here using each tool for it's own situation
