Any proofs? It's really strange that gcc / clang for

the same c code will generate different binary when using C or C++ code switches

No. Personal anectdotical experience and historically it has been that way. clang doesn't optimize the IR, only the llvm backend does and it is a more generalistic system than gcc, which is very C-focused.
