If yes, then every channel needs to have a separate socket connection right?

I dont get it All the msg in this "Javascript" channel are shown here not to other channels.

what did you mean by here ? the whole discord app is in the same page/website (it's a single page app)

Okay so this channel, if someone msgs here it is only shown here in this channel. Not in some other channel. How does that work?

discord server sends the channel id with the message so the client knows where it is probably ?

why would you need more than 1 socket connection to the same server ? telegram uses socket and everything is transferred thro the same socket.
