to do a web shop on laravel. And I am considering doing it using Vue js or pure js.
I have rather good experience working with vanilla js. And just a little of Vue js in my test projects.
This is my personal project, so I have no restrictions.
I know that the Vue js is good choice for singlepage applications, just like React or Angular. But will it fit for web shop or will it be just an obstruction?
Wanna learn or finish quickly? If 2 then woocommerce
Neither. I wanna do fast site, so it will be either raw php/laravel with vanilla js/vue js. Woocommerce as and a wordpress in overall is not fast, and not practical for growing websites. I have already site in Opencart with bought theme, so it's migrating to better/faster solution
either way, what makes a site fast is caching. I’ve worked with woocomerce sites with 100,000 products and they work fine with redis caching and elastic search searching Talking about vue, I wouldn’t consider using vanilla js, unless you’re smarter than Evan You and all the vue community. There’s many tools you need and aren’t easy. Filtering, pagination, product attributes, variants.
