lot of plugins, but nothing specific for JavaScript, autocompletion is done by YCM (YouCompleteMe, which was kind of a pain in the ass to compile for me). How did I configure it? Adding stuff to ~/.vimrc
Anyways, if you don't want to use vim, VSCode is very nice (probably your best choice for JavaScript) if you don't mind Electron. And maybe Atom?
If you're like and hate Electron, then I'm not sure what to recommend. TextMate seems to be open-source and on GitHub, micro is also nice.
I use vim a lot, but I tried to use it as an actual IDE and the plugins didn't always work, or my vim suddenly crashed.
