now translated to security?
This is invalid to me...
Programmers differ from one another... even maintainability which is often the strongest point of type discipline is dis day nothing to js once you understand the best practices of js...
There r too many assumptions/false conclusions in the programming world... we need to approach issues objectively and not subjectively...
We talking of security as if its only a language tin... what about the programmer...
Then saying nodejs cant be used for bank apps is invalid...
Look at ebay, paypal etc they r all using nodejs... so security does not matter to them...
Someone talking about maturity... LinkedIn moved from rails to nodejs and confessed that they successfully reduced their server from 30 to just 3. Many companies have moved... some r about moving... Its just a function of what U see that U want to benefit from.
I quite understand that the rapid update of nodejs/its frameworks is sometimes worrisome but there is nothing good that comes easy.... one just have to look for a way around it.. just like the suggestions of Thomas one can see that those suggestions r very good to flow with... Java, asp.net and co too have their own problem.. there is no language/framework without its own evil.. one just have to decide what works best for himself.
I wasn't talking about security when I said that Node may not be the best tool for the problem at hand, other considerations have to be made. On the other hand, one doesn't decide what works best for himself but what works best for the problem you need to solve, personal preferences always come in second place
