Python also is the best language to learn at any time. 1) Easy to learn 2) Makes you a better programmer by teaching you to focus on the problem not the language The problem: 1) no place on phones 2) not as good as node.js when it comes to async programming 3) not as good as scala when it comes to distributed programming

PHP is too old, and has so much cognitive overhead. Node.js on the other hand 1) allows you to build realtime apps much easier 2) much larger community, which is moving fast and lots of new tools 3) has full stack frameworks like meteor that are sth new
