IMO I don't think executing a code to understand its behaviour is a good thing. Maybe you save time, but you need more time to understand it...

Well, that syntactic structure is just unfamiliar for me, so it would be tough to search for a test case to reveal difference in logic, I believe. And it would take at least half of an hour - I got the knowledge for 1 minute here. You can send me a link to Java beginners, though, if you annoyed.
