Hello, I am developing a small framework for configuration based selenium

testing. I now want to introduce the support for custom parameters in JSON configuration. A simple way to do this having a Map<String, String> in my POJO have GSON deserialize it for me. Is there a better way to do this?

I feel that there's something wrong with what you're trying to do. Besides that "create my own testing framework". I haven't ever seen such way of configuring tests. Maybe if you could give us example of what configuration do you want to store in that map, then your intention would be more clear. At least to me

That's actually sane — use GSON to (de)serialize to/from a Map
