In the callstack, I didn't find a class with a

name similar to the name of my xhtml page. Are you sure a class whould be created corresponding to my page and its methodes whould be in the call stack?

well, you made me to google that. I was wrong. I'm surprised, but in jsf they parse facelet and store xml dom in cache. Strange design. Therefore, in order to find answer to your original question, you don't have other option than to set breakpoint on your getter and then step with your debugger to see what's going on and why there're two calls.
