In a primefaces xhtml page, there is a field, which

is filled by the value of a variable of a managed bean. So when the page loads I expect a call to the getter of that variable. But I face more than one calls to that method. Why whold it happen?

Set breakpoint on that getter and examine the call stack for both cases.
