I am working with a friend in a spring boot

project .
i have a different password for my db .
i want git to ignore this line on the spring boot proprieties file. without ignoring the rest of the file !?

They way we did in our project was just remove the password and the commit the file. We used SVN tho. This might not be the best way but we did that. Let me know if someone has a better way!
