I enjoy solving problems. Don't really matter if it's php or not, but since that's what i learned and have experience this is what I get hired for. And modern php inside a nice framework can be plenty fun indeed
👍 People say, don't learn php it's such a mess Bad syntax Security issues Unstable methods I mean everybody hates php... Some of them told me not to learn that and i should focus on other technologies.
Yeah that sentiment is outdated. Nowadays all the shitty projects are in node xD People are often quoting this one blog post from 2012. Which still partially holds up but we live in a frame work world now, so most of the arguments are moot
As someone who has switched to node: I do enjoy writing TypeScript with node more then PHP, there are things you can do better there I also think the industry is slightly moving away from PHP, but it will be here for a long time for sure You will have fun coding it and you will get a career with it If I'd be new to webdev though and had to choose a language, I would rather pick python or node though
Yes exactly I have good experience of php along with nodejs
