Hey. im writing a script that changes some system settings

based on some inputs.
i can make it a one time input, like get an input, change the settings and stop the execution.
or i can keep getting inputs constantly and change the settings every time.
what's the best practice for this?

i thought the best one is to set time gaps, like getting inputs each one minute. so there's less resource usage too.
