Learn c/c++/rust. Don't choose
For what purpose?
This is the correct answer
All of those have something for everyone. I personally hate the Rust community but I rather like the language and the works around it. C++ is pretty good and is very much alive since 2012 and I love doing things in it because I can do everything, make new things and start from "not even a kernel" to a shitty kernel+OS in a week just for my amusement, or I can do web development, or database development, or anything really
lol i can't do it all gotta chose
you have to do it to find out what is best for you. choosing language over what people say is a bad idea.
well yeah , thanks
I hesitated for a long time between c++ and rust. But I did enough research and I saw that c++ would be advantageous for me because I want to do video games and sometimes competitive programming so c++ is the ideal in these fields.
you just read my mind , i actually didn't wanna fix something i don't really know about .. memory safe etc .... so i guess cpp is fair enough :D
why do you have to choose, no one's forcing you to only learn one language. Just pick one and start learning
i don't think one can get good in two languages , if you pay more foucs in cpp you'll get better , there a lot to learn in it , rust also ,, both of them ? , you can learn a little bit of both but never get pro in one
that's a bunch of bs imo.
well maybe i'm wrong .. but i just dive in cpp , you know a almost finished the rust book already .. cpp book also ,, but i'm talking about getting better in one of them
Just choose one. I don't really see the point in choosing the "best" language tbh
i think you right , maybe i'm discalify my self into the ability of mastering two languages
