I not?
If you want to be a game developer you can become one, if you don't want, you don't. There's no "why", if you ask "why", you probably don't need it
Most people, IMO, go for a career in game development because they're passionate about making games that they can feel proud about. They like the challenges and variety that it brings. If you don't feel intrigued by the elements of game development, look for something else. Find what you're interested in.
For future reference, try not to ask questions like, why should I choose a career in X or Y in online communities. We have no idea what your interest are so no one can answer you also it might not be your intention but it comes off as a lazy question, where you're delegating your life choices to us and asking us to take responsibility for your life. You won't receive good welcoming responses with that type of question. If you want to compare job responsibilities, pay, etc just simply ask that. There are sites like glassdoor where you can compare average salaries, etc.
Yaa, I was indirectly asking u to take responsibility of my career thru ur opinions on game developer's life cycle
Such snarky responses will only alienate you from genuine help from others.
Ok, won't do it again
I didn't think that was snarky
Hmm. I could have used a more mild term, I guess, unless you interpreted it as something else entirely.
I thought he realized and was just genuinely expressing his mistake in the question
Hmm. Haha, could be.
