I know that there might be some specific tools for game programming but at the time being I'm dealing with C++, Qt, QML and also OpenGL. So adding another framework/library/language to the list to learn would be rather hard for me considering time.
Unity3, for instance, might be good for games merely, but QML I suppose, has wider usages that game developing is one of them although it might be rather convoluted to use it for games

Yea its fine, you can use anything. But if you plan on developing android games you should atleast have some experience in developing android apps with the sdk itself. Then you you can use any framework you want to.
Making apps in Unity is not a bad plan I know that there are quite a few out there....
