that's because recruiters don't know a 💩 about development and also there are mediocre people applying for that... the guy —I'm sure wasn't a developer but some HR lazy human— who invented the "full-stack" term should be killed with fire

if you have the time and abilities to do both works, go ahead, it's like being a mechanical and the painter of a car, you can do that, if you're good, that's great, but you'd better get specialized in one of them, but that's a personal decision
