Are you familiar with any public cloud? Because if you aren't, creating a cost estimate is a big gamble, since you're likely to use other services from that public cloud depending on the project requirements. Either AWS and Microsoft are two solid contenders in terms of price and forgiveness about your own slip ups. It's no wonder they're the first two top choices for public clouds, following CPG in the third place. When in doubt, stick to AWS.

> "forgiveness about your own slip ups" Considering some of the "surprise bill" and "insane charges out of nowhere" horror stories I've read and heard about third-party "cloud" services, I'd consider this bit to be extremely on the "plus side" for any cloud service one might consider using/paying for. These days, good customer service is a rarity, and should be applauded and rewarded where-ever it is found.
