go with struts jobs please or springboot is better ?
Got a interview opportunity for legacy erp project based in struts. Not springboot. However, considering not having a java job one currently, Is it good to go with?
I don't have solid springboot exp either. My preference is to get expertise in springboot as it is popularly used in most jobs.
I would look for something else. Struts is a very old framework. It is a sign of a legacy product, of a very conservative for changes project. Less freedom, more boring work, less knowledge gained. It's worth only if you have to provide for a family of 5 kids, and they pay at least x1.5 more than other positions)) I mean, if money is your main motivation
100%. That's a better strategy. If you're switching from dotnet, this is a more wise strategy. But I highly recommend to invest some time into learning java and SB yourself too. If you come more prepared to an interview, and people will see in you dotnet developer who learned some java+sb, instead of just donet dev, it will be much better.
I see. Okay. Thank you for your patience and your feedback to my posts.
I sincerely appreciate your viewpoints.
You very precisely expressed it - view points. Please, don't take my advice and opinions as the single possible truth. Ask more people, and it's only yours decision in the end.
I highly regard your viewpoints as advices. Sorry for my wording though. I am so junior 😊
