How do you guys backup your docker data volumes? I

don't quiet understand the way they do it in the docs, maybe there is an easier way? can I just tar the /var/lib/docker/volumes?

That's exactly what I was gonna set up this time. Still gotta back up the old volumes though.

I do but I keep my volumes external, stored in a shared directory which I backup
