it etc. However recently it has been throwing up error text whenever I attempt to access the internet through any browser (Firefox and Chrome) or by just pinging as shown in the pics.
Things I have attempted but failed to resolve it:
1) reconfiguring my nameserver in resolv.conf to 8.8.8.8, 1.0.0.1 etc
2) shutting down the WiFi connection and restarting it again
3) taking down IP and restarting
4) deleted and reinstalled Kali in VMware
How do I resolve this problem?

I have been recently taking courses on ethical hacking/pentest so that's the reason for the use on Kali Linux. The VMware is the virtual machine (just like virtual box) that host the Kali linux. I'll take your advice and try out other distributions and see if problem persist
no need to use Kali even if you are the taking security course
That's the industry standard
no. security industry does not use Kali as default OS. most of security people just use normal OS like Fedora, MacOS or Windows
Several tutors I have seen in YouTube recommend that
they are content creators, not security engineer
Please throw more light on this
You seem to have posted a question involving Kali Linux or another pentesting distribution. Note that Kali Linux development team itself recommends against using Kali Linux for those new to Linux or even as a general-purpose desktop operating system for experienced users. People might still want to help you solve your problem, but you are more likely to learn things if you start with a different distribution.
I already linked you upstream documentation
Vmware has multiple virtualization products, which one did you use specifically?
The industry standard is to install Kali for recognizing people unable to use the system
Also VMware is Broadcom nowadays
I use vmware workstation 17 player
